Christmasy Stuff

Well........... the cuzzies are here from England and we have been waiting to put up the tree

After forgetting to do it for a few days ................its up but I'm not sure for how long as the littlest one keeps taking "Balls" off the tree

Jack made his teacher a Christmas present this year.......following on with my homemade presents theme

We modified it for Christmas by only using Christmas coloured pebbles......I wonder what happened to the other ones.........

I think he did really well.............and as you can see...........he is proud as punch

Botanic Gardens

Charlie, Auntie Dot, Auntie Di and I went to the Botanic Gardens the other day

Was awful weather but we are so pleased we risked it.
After coffee and cake the weather settled and we had a lovely walk around

Bubbles for Aisling

Today at 11 o'clock we blew some bubbles for a little girl that we all know as Aisling who was buried today..........


It was a beautiful day and the kids had a lovely time!

It was nice to reflect on our kids and how much we treasure them.............

You can also she Shelley and Rochelle in there too.....as usual, there is none of me!

Wooly dying playtime

I have been planning to dye some wool for ever..............


I had this in a multi coloured wool and some white


I knitted it up into slippers for Charlie but stuffed up the sizes royally which was very lucky for Maia

and then thought ....what do I do with the white?

Its cheap crappy wool from Shawn Sheep and it felts wonderfully.....So here is the end results

Black and purple.....???......hmmm

I don't know where the blue went....hmmmmm

Blue and Yellow make........DUH




I think I will try with some 'real' wool next....I just wanted to have a play with something that I had spent little money on....

I had been thinking of making Charlie a little sling for her baby.........
I asked Sarah if she had any of my Unido sling fabric left and the next thing Shelley gave us this today

As you can see Charlie adores it!!!!

Jack and Chauncey spent a night at the Zoo on Wednesday















They were in a group of about 50 people and spent the afternoon walking around the zoo and then they watched as they were locked in......



They had BBQ dinner and a night guided tour in the dark......

To blow my own trumpet.....I have taken up knitting again.

In a desperate attempt to get more woolly goodness than may fantastic friend Tash could knit, I have re learnt the old ways
